IRCC is now accepting results of TCF exam for Expres entry

The Government of Canada is now accepting the results of a new test as proof of language ability for French-speaking economic immigration candidates applying for permanent residence.
The TCF Canada is now the second French language test that’s recognized by IRCC. The other recognized option remains the Test d’évaluation de français (TEF Canada).
The Government of Canada and provinces like Ontario have introduced a number of measures to encourage francophone immigration and bolster Canada’s French-speaking communities outside of Quebec.

Copy Of -Age Increased for Dependent Child to be under 22

The Government of Canada has published regulatory changes to increase the maximum age of a dependent child which will allow more families to stay together.
The new age limit of “under 22” will come into effect this fall, on October 24, 2017, raising it from the current “under 19” requirement. The increased age will apply to new applications for all immigration programs under Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada, including for refugees. Children who are 22 years of age or older and who rely on their parents due to a physical or mental health condition will continue to be considered dependent children.

3,665 Invitations to Apply Issued on April 19 Draw with the lowest CRS requirements

CIC has issued 3,665 invitations to apply for permanent residence under the Express Entry system.
Foreign nationals who, have been assigned a total of 415 points or more under the Comprehensive Ranking System that is set out in the Ministerial Instructions Respecting the Express Entry System, as published in the Canada Gazette occupy the rank required to be invited to make an application for permanent residence.

1,936 Invitations to Apply Issued in December 16 Draw

CIC has issued 1936 invitations to apply for permanent residence under the Express Entry system.
Foreign nationals who, have been assigned a total of 497 points or more under the Comprehensive Ranking System that is set out in the Ministerial Instructions Respecting the Express Entry System, as published in the Canada Gazette occupy the rank required to be invited to make an application for permanent residence.

New rules regarding the Québec selection Certificate

New rules regarding the maximum number of applications for a Certificat de sélection du Québec (CSQ – Québec selection certificate) that can be received by the Ministère will be in effect from April 1, 2017 to March 31, 2018
Skilled workers
The Ministère will receive 5000 applications for a selection certificate under the Regular Skilled Worker Program during the next intake period
Investors
From May 29, 2017 to February 23, 2018, the Ministère will receive a maximum of 1900 applications for a selection certificate under the Investor Program, including a maximum of 1330 applications from foreign nationals from the People’s Republic of China
Entrepreneurs and self-employed workers
For the period April 1, 2017 to March 31, 2018, no applications for a Certificat de sélection du Québec will be received under the Entrepreneur Program and Self-Employed Worker Program.

New changes to 2017 Parent and Grandparent Program application intake process

The Honourable John McCallum, Minister of Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship, today announced changes to how sponsorship applications will be submitted under the program.
Those persons who wants to bring their parents or grandparents to Canada will need to fill out an online form to indicate their interest. IRCC will then randomly choose 10,000 individuals from those who filled out the form, and those people will be invited to send in their complete application package.
The online form will be available starting January 3, 2017. Sponsors will have 30 days to submit the form.

559 Invitations to Apply Issued in November 30 Draw

Improvements to spousal sponsorship process
December 10, 2016
The Government of Canada is releasing a new spousal sponsorship application kit on (IRCC) website on December 15, 2016. The new application kit will make it easier and faster to apply through the spousal sponsorship program at 12:00 p.m. (noon) Eastern Standard Time. As part of the new application process, applicants will not have to provide certain information up front, such as medical examination results.

IRCC Adds New Questions to Express Entry System

Changes to Express Entry are part of a number of improvements the Government is making on a continual basis to bring changes for a more fair and responsive immigration system that will address emerging needs
The changes will help better attract some of the best minds in the world, including former international students, experienced professionals and talented workers who will strengthen Canada’s competitiveness in the global marketplace.
Improvements include awarding points for job offers to eligible candidates already in Canada on Labour Market Impact Assessment (LMIA) exempt work permits, and to international students who completed their studies in Canada. In addition, more time will be allocated to candidates to submit an application for permanent residence once an invitation to apply is received.
